Big Twister Juncus

Thin, long and leafless stems twist in a dramatic corkscrew shape. Jutting out of a mixed planting, it adds height and because it's just so unusual, it brings a lot of interest to the group. It prefers a moist or boggy site and the sort of aquatic look to it fits perfectly in a water garden. If it's kept consistently moist and given a little shade, Big Twister is quite low maintenance.
